Prof.
Heinkel’in tasarımlarının en önemlilerinden ve Hansa-Brandenburg
fabrikasının yaptığı keza en önemlilerinden biridir. W.12’nin
devamı olarak tasarlanmıştır. Birçok kişi tarafından W.12’nin
tek satıhlı versiyonu olarak kabul edilmektedir. 1918 Nisan ayında
hizmete giren uçaktan 78 adet üretilmiştir. Temmuz 1918’den
itibaren ülkemizdeki Alman deniz Kuvvetleri uçucu sahil koruma
birliklerinde kullanılmak üzere 12 adet gönderilmiştir.

It
is one of the most important designs of Prof. Heinkel and also one of
the most important aircraft of the Hansa-Brandenburg factory. It was
intended as a follower of W.12. Many accept this plane as the
monoplane version of W.12. It entered service at the German Navy in
April 1918 and 78 examples were produced. On July 1918 12 W.29 were
despatched to Turkey to arm the German Navy’s coastal guard flying
units.
