Fokker
D.VII genelde 1. Dünya Savaşı’ndaki en iyi Alman av uçağı
olarak kabul edilir. Uçağın ilk deney uçuşları Baron Manfred von
Richtofen tarafından 1918 Ocak ayında yapılmıştır. Ancak
Richtofen’in uçağın servise giriş tarihi olan Nisan 1918’den kısa
bir süre önce ölümü üzerine kendisi tarafından savaşta kullanılamamıştır.
D.VII’yi kullanan tanınmış pilotlardan biri de II:Dünya Savaşı’nda
Luftwaffe’nin Komutanı olacak olan Hermann Göring’dir.
D.VII’ler 1918’deki İngiliz ve Fransız uçaklarından üstün
olduklarını ispatlamışlardır. D.VII’ler Fokker’e ilaveten
Albatros ve OAW (Ostdeutcshe Albatros Werke) tarafından da üretilmişlerdir.
Osmanlı Silahlı Kuvvetleri’nde toplam 7 adet D.VII görev almıştır.
Katılış tarihleri Ekim 1918’dir. Uçakların tamamı 9.Tayyare Bölüğü
ile 6. Tayyare Bölüğü’ne tahsis edilmiş ancak Savaş’ın kısa
bir süre sonra sona ermesi üzerine Maltepe deposu’nda depolanmıştır.
Bu uçaklar İstiklal Savaşı’na katılamamıştır.

Fokker
D.VII is accepted as the best German fighter of the WW1 era by the
authorities. The first test flights were flown by Baron Manfred von
Richtofen. But he never had the chance to pilot this plane in aerial
combat due to his death soon before the plane became operational in
April 1918. One of the famous pilots who flew this plane was Hermann Göring
who would be the commander general of Luftwaffe during WWII. The
D.VIIs proved themselves to be superior to the British and French
planes of 1918. In addition to Fokker they were also produced by
Albatros and OAW (Ostdeutcshe Albatros Werke). A total of 7 examples
were deployed at the Ottoman armed forces. The deployment date is
October 1918. All of the planes were assigned to 9th Airplane Co. and
to 6th Airplane Co. but they were sent to be stored at the Maltepe
warehouse due to armiastice ending the War.
