Alman
Flugzeugbau Friedrichshafen GmbH firması 1914 senesi sonlarına doğru
daha önce ürettiği 2 kişilik devriye uçağı FF.29’u esas
alarak F.33’ü geliştirdi. 120HP’lik Meercedes D.II benzinli sıra
motor ile tahrikli bu uçakta pilot arka kokpitte oturuyordu. Bu ilk
modelden yanlız 6 adet üretildi. Bu modeli, üzerine makinalı tüfek
monte edilmiş olan FF.33B takip etti. Bu modelden de 5 adet üretildi.
En tanınmış modeli olan FF.33E Benz Bz.III sıra motor ile tahrik
edilmekteydi. 190 adet üretilen bu uçağı FF.33J ve FF.33L takip
etti. FF.33L’den de 130 adet üretildi. FF33L modeli bir uçak
da FF.39’un geliştirilmesi için deney platformu olarak
kullanıldı.
Türkiye
bulunan FF.33’ler “E” ve “L” tipleri olup Alman
birliklerinde görev almak üzere gönderilmiştir. Ekim 1916’dan
itibaren hizmete giren bu uçakların toplam sayısı 21’dir. Bu uçakların
fabrika çıkış numaraları aşağıdadır.

Basing
on her past experience on the two seater patrol aircraft FF.29,the
German firm Flugzeugbau Friedrichshafen GmbH designed the FF.33
towards the end of 1914. This plane was powered by a 120HP Mercedes
D.II engine and the pilot was seated at the rear cockpit. Only 6
examples of the first model were produced. This was followed by the
FF.33B on which a MG was mounted. Only 5 FF.33Bs were produced. The
most well-known model was the FF.33E which was powered by a stronger
engine, a Benz Bz.III.
This was the mostly produced model with 190 examples. FF.33J and
FF.33L were the follow-on
models. 130 FF33Ls were produced. An FF33L was also used as a test-bed
for the design of the new FF.39 model.
The
“E” and “L” models of the FF.33s were despatched to Turkey to
be deployed at the German units. They staretd arriving on October 1916
and the total figure is 21. The factory outlet numbers are given
