Fouga
büyük miktarda seri imalatına geçilen ilk Avrupa yapımı jet eğitim
uçaklarından biridir. 1953 ile 1958 arasında 900’den fazla üretilmiştir.
Bu rakkamın önemli bir miktarı lisans altında Batı Almanya, İsrail
ve Batı Almanya’da gerçekleştirilmiştir. 1954’de NATO ülkelerine
standart eğitim uçağı olarak tavsiye edilmiştir. Fouga’lar
20’den fazla ülkenin hava kuvvetlerinde görev almıştır.

The
Fouga Magister is a two-seat twin-engined jet trainer. Its most
distinctive structural feature is a V-type tail.
The
Fouga prototype first flew on 23rd July 1952. The Fouga was one of
the first European jet trainers to enter large scale serial
production. Its production totalled between 1953 and 1958 over 900
aircraft, of which considerable numbers were built under licence
in West Germany, Israel and Finland. In 1954 the type was
recommended as a standard jet trainer for NATO countries. In all,
Fougas have seen service in the air forces of over 20 countries.
It
is also the plane of the “Patrouille de France” the famous
aerobatics team of the French Air Force.
